Our weekly meal plan! 8th - 14th August. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went well although we did end up having our meal from the chip shop on Friday night instead of Wednesday lunch time. Becky had to sleep for a night shift on Wednesday and didn't want to miss out. Stu & I had fish & chips and the kids had sausage and chips. They say the fish is too fishy from the chippy. lol It just tastes like normal fish to me.

I don't know how this week is going to turn out because Stu tested positive for Covid on Saturday. He said at lunchtime he wasn't feeling right and by the time he came home from work he had a cough, was feeling achy and like he could sleep for a week. As soon as he walked through the door I made him do a test and the two lines came straight up. I sent him straight upstairs and he is quarantining in Becky's room and she is in with me, well was on Saturday night. Since then she has been working night shifts so she's going to bed as I am getting up. Her work says until she has a positive test she still has to go in. So far me and the girls are all negative. I am so pleased when they were handing out tests at school for free the girls were good at bringing them home. Fingers crossed the girls and I escape it.

So this week might be a total disaster when it comes to food or it might still go OK, Stu hasn't lost his appetite and is more tired than anything. Any plans we had have gone out of the window, I would rather stay home to be here if Stu needs me and also keep other's safe.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Corned Beef crispbakes with mashed potato and baked beans.
Tuesday - Chicken & ham hock pie with garlic mash.
Wednesday - Sandwiches, cakes, crisps. A lazy tea.
Friday - Scampi, chips and peas.
Saturday - Pizza.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  1. Sorry to hear that Stu is sick. Hopefully you and the girls will stay negative.

  2. The positive result really does come straight up on the covid tests. I was never really that sure they worked until we got a positive test in our house, then there's no doubt about it ! Love the look of the corned beef crispbakes - they sound a bit like something I used to have in school dinners, hmmm !
