I spend most of this time in the garden pulling weeds, it is a never ending job but sometimes the weeds can be pretty. Dandelion's at this time of their life cycle are cheerful little things but they do take over my garden. I had a shout at Ellie when she was walking around the garden blowing the fluffy dandelions and spreading the seeds everywhere, I've told her when they grow again she will be doing the weeding. hehehe

The do get everywhere don't they. Boo looked out of our back garden and was delighted by the sight of all the daffodils, she didn't even realise they were weeds. They used to love dandelion clocks when they were little. My mum would never let us pick them, she believed that if you picked a dandelion you would wet the bed. There might be something in that 'old wives tale' though because dandelion leaves are used as a duiretic. (All ours have gone for now, thanks Graham!) xx
ReplyDeleteThey seem to pop up everywhere, don't they?
ReplyDeleteThe mighty little dandelion - did you know pioneers brought dandelion seeds with them to America? They weren't native but now grow coast to coast. It was considered a great healer in old times.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of work, but it's always satisfying to see a well-kept garden.
ReplyDeleteOops I also like blowing on the dandelions, that's probably why we have so many!
ReplyDeleteThey are so pretty especially on a grey day x
ReplyDeleteStill weeding here as well. They do take over the lawn, but the yellow flowers are very cheery! Lovely photo!

I feel your pain! My daughter was horrified when she discovered dandelions were weeds, as she liked them. As soon as she found out they were weeds, she said she didn't like them any more!
ReplyDeleteThey may be 'weeds' but they sure are colourful! Thanks for linking up and sharing your snaps with #MySundaySnapshot.
