Things have changed! #MySundaySnapshot

When the Smyths catalogue used to come through the letterbox my girls used to fight over it, like actually fight just so they could see all of the toys and start writing their Christmas lists. Now they're older, things have changed. The catalogue was delivered a couple of weeks ago and they didn't even give it a second look. I was the one looking through and thinking to myself that years ago they would have loved this or that toy. Now they send me links to pages on websites of things that they would like or just whole Amazon wish lists. It is slightly easier for me but I do miss the days of them being children.

  1. Oh I know how you feel, I can't even persuade my 13 yr old to look. I miss the days of toys and spending Christmas day building things with the kids. But time moves on and so must we. xx

  2. It's bittersweet as children become adults, but you have 2 amazing young women. #MMBC

  3. I remember doing this growing up with the littlewoods catalogue and then giving the kids the argos catalogue and letting them write down page numbers. It is bittersweet but great memories.

  4. I miss those days too! I used to go the great toy sale at Target and laybuy their Christmas toys. Then pay it off bit by bit.

  5. I can understand that! I saw some half price toys in Sainsbury's yesterday and I remembered how we all used to go mad for them. Now we have no use for them - even my niece and nephew are too old for them!
