All about you (me)....Day 1 of #Blogtober17

I am taking part in Blogtober17 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October....

Today's prompt is: All about you!

If you read my blog regularly you obviously know who I am....If you don't hello, nice to meet you and go and read my About us page.

This is me!
I hate writing about myself....I am shy, hate attention on me and I'm not a people person which is so confusing because I write this blog about myself and my families life and I'm pretty open on here....Meet me in real life and you would be lucky to get a couple of words from me unless I've had plenty of wine....hehehe

Anyway. I'm Kim. A nearly 40 year old from Northumberland up here in the North East. I live here with my fella Stu, Becky my teen who's 15 and Ellie who's 10. I have been blogging daily for nearly 5 years! Go me. lol I'm a stay at home mam and my life is pretty normal....

Apart from blogging I don't have many hobbies....I do like to watch TV. I love all the soaps, GBBO and Game of Thrones now. It took me a while to get into it and of course The Walking Dead. Not long now and it is back on our TV's....Come back on day 21 of Blogtober17. Someone from The Walking Dead will be featured. hehehe

I really don't know what else to say about me so I will leave you with some fun facts:

Cheese used to give me migraines.....I didn't eat it for years until one time when I was at my friends house, drinking wine and needed something to eat.....I ate pizza with cheese on. I got very drunk and I still to this day blame the cheese. lol

I am allergic to wasps.....If they sting me they won't kill me but I do swell up stupidly where I've been stung.

I had my ears pierced when I was 16....They lasted a week. I don't do earrings!!.

I have been going grey since I was about 20 years old......I started dying my hair when I saw the first grey hair. I don't know what my natural colour is anymore.

I can't say the words Statistically, Philosophical, Particularly and it turns out 2 out of those 3 words I can't spell either. Thanks Google for the help.

The film 'The Ring' is the reason I can't watch horror films now.

I hate eating sandwiches with the crusts on. I am officially like a child. lol.

  1. Love it, I don’t do crusts either and don’t make the kids eat them so I think I might be influencing generations of crustless sandwich eaters...

  4. Hi Kim, nice to meet you! We have a few things in common! I absolutely hate attention too but find it a lot easier to speak about myself on my blog, though like you with a few bevvies in me I get a lot louder! Also, I'm allergic to wasps too, I once got stung on my thumb which proceeded to swell up so bad it made me look like I had a third hand! Happy Blogtober look forward to reading more :) x

  6. Lovely to read all about you. I don't mind a horror but we never watch them as my husband Adam doesn't like them. Bread is my downfall. I would literally have it for or part of every meal, crusts and all. Im such a carb girl.

  8. With you on the earrings thing, I did actually wear them until I had kids but then I stopped because my eldest would grab at them, and I never put them back in! Nearly 6 years on I don't think I'd get any in now, much to my daughter's horror, she's got a bit of an earring obsession! #Blogtober17
