Last weeks meal plan went pretty well considering Stu was full of cold & I had the start of one which thankfully I managed to shake off. We got a sneaky takeaway on Wednesday after Becky's amazing parents evening. We didn't get back until nearly 7pm and we didn't feel like cooking so we had burgers and pizza.
We ate nothing I planned over the weekend. With having pizza and burgers mid-week we had sandwiches and snacky food on Friday and then lots of chicken bits, garlic bread and fries (a fake KFC) on Saturday and on Sunday we had a big fry up.
It was a week that really didn't go to plan but it worked out OK. Not much went to waste and we were all fed and happy.
This week on the menu we have:
Monday - Sausage casserole with mash.
Tuesday - Barbecue chicken and bacon pasta.
Wednesday - Chicken dippers, chips and beans.
Thursday - Fish pie with sweetcorn.
Friday - Muffin pizzas.
Saturday - Party food from Tesco. We have no real reason for a party tea but we want one.
Sunday - Leftover curry out of the freezer with rice.
oh my, I so fancy a sausage casserole now! I used to make muffin pizzas with my kids a long time ago, but somehow we forgot about them. I love that you are having party food without needing a reason :)

ReplyDeleteI love a party food tea, such a treat!
ReplyDeleteLove the sound of party food, and who needs a reason? I might have to do that myself actually - the kids would love it ! :)
ReplyDeleteWe had a sausage casserole the other day, it's brilliant comfort food for this cold weather! I love your snacky Saturday! We love having a tea with lots of picky things. :) x
