Our weekly meal plan! 2nd - 8th March. #MealPlanningMonday

Last weeks meal plan went pretty well. We ate 5 out of the 7 meals planned and for once I was not the one to blame for not eating the planned meals. lol

Becky has her girlfriend coming for tea tonight and I love the lass to bits but she is ruddy awkward to feed. She's a fussy eater. Last time she was here I didn't know she was stopping for tea so I said it was fajita's or nothing. She had never tried chicken fajita's but did and ended up liking them! Phew! Tonight we are having the pizza which we should have had on Friday and A has said that she doesn't like frozen pizza but that's all we have. I am betting I can feed her it without her even realising! I can't be doing with fussy eaters, my two will eat just about anything and if they're not too sure will at least try it. Why did no one warn me that feeding friends is such a minefield. lol

We also didn't have a fry up yesterday. Stu & the kids wanted something with mash so turned to the tinned mince and onions I always have in the cupboard and had that with Yorkshire puddings. It was so good. Simple, quick to make and it tasted amazing!

This week on the menu we have:

Monday - Pizza and fries.
Tuesday - Beef stir fry.
Wednesday - Chicken kievs, new potatoes, peas and sweetcorn.
Thursday - Tuna, tomato pasta.
Friday - Fish & chips. (Out of the freezer).
Saturday - Takeaway! Our monthly treat.
Sunday - Mince, dumplings, mash & veg. The kids loved it so much yesterday that they want it again!

What are you eating this week?

  1. I've got much better at meal planning since being pregnant, mainly because if I don't prep a meal in the daytime it doesn't happen as I'm so tired! Using the slow cooker a lot too #MMBC

    1. She didn't notice it was frozen until Becky told her and said she's never tasted a frozen pizza as good. It was just a pound one from Asda, nothing fancy. lol x

    1. We do too. Without meal planning it would be chips with everything or takeaway. x

  8. Great meal plan for the week ahead. I am dreading feeding other peoples children, my own are so fussy sometimes! No idea why as they both used to eat everything when they were very little! Have a great week x

  10. I’m terrible with meal planning! The wife and I both work shifts with a constantly changing rota and finding any consistency is so tough. It would be great to try this as we have a young boy who will need to get a real balanced diet soon

  11. Ooh chicken kievs, haven't had those for ages - and now I want some lol. Good luck with the fussy eater. It'll make you appreciate your own kids a little more ! lol ;-)

  12. My youngest is dreadfully fussy and won't even try anything new. So he often has to make do with a sausage roll or chicken panini, whilst the rest of us tuck into a tasty meal. Chicken kiev and pizza (but margarita only) would be all he would try off your meals this week

  13. I have a fussy child, one is a little fussier than his sister and it is a bit of a battle at times.

I hope your week went well :)
