Last weeks meal plan went really well. We did have a change on Saturday night. Becky went into town with some friends and ended up bringing her girlfriend home with her. It was fine but with "A" being such a fussy eater I played it safe and Stu, Becky and A had lasagne and garlic bread out of the freezer. I always keep a big one in there for occasions like that and Ellie and I had a prawn cocktail salad. We saw the prawns in Tesco and got on about how it was ages since we had them.
This week is going to be an interesting week and I don't feel like I'll be spending much time in the kitchen at all. The kids are back at school and college, Stu and I are going into town on Monday shopping, it's Becky's 18th birthday and we have Becky's girlfriend coming to stay the night over the weekend. (In separate beds though).
This week on the menu we have:
Monday - Greggs pasties brought back from our shopping trip probably with chips.
Tuesday - We're having the Coconut & Mango Sizzlers from Sainsbury's again with pineapple fried rice as they went down so well last time.
Wednesday - Vegetable fingers and BBQ pasta which is just pasta mixed with mayonnaise & bbq sauce. I will try and sneak some sweetcorn in too.
Thursday - A takeaway - Becky's choice.
Friday - Out for a meal.
Saturday - I'm going to cook up a load of picky food. Chicken bits, onion rings, garlic bread, sausage rolls, mozzarella sticks, spring rolls, sandwiches and everyone can help themselves.
Sunday - Mince & dumplings and mashed potato.
What are you eating this week?
I only know two of our meals this week-- Wednesday night I'm making chili in the crock pot since we'll all be eating at different times, Thursday night everyone is going to have to fend for themselves, and then on Friday I'm cooking up pork tenderloin with rice and peas.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a picky tea - ours is usually centred on using up the leftovers. Same idea I guess but not as exciting !
