Our weekly meal plan! 5th - 11th July. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went well. We ate everything apart from the pizza on Saturday. Becky and her girlfriend got a takeaway from the pizza shop which I wasn't overjoyed about but it's their money and they can spend it how they want to. I did rub it in that Stu, Becky and me had Big Stack burgers from Iceland along with with the BBQ beef McCain street fries and an ice cream cake and probably spent half of what they did. lol

I am back on the happy meal planning bandwagon after the blip I had last time when I was doing the food shopping and meal planning and felt no motivation. I think getting the food shop from Iceland which is somewhere different from the usual supermarket.

We have no plans at all for this week. It is going to be a quiet week. I am going to start shopping for Ellie's birthday. It isn't until the end of August but by now I usually have all of her presents bought. I don't know why I haven't started before now. August and September are expensive months for us. It's Ellie's, Stu's and Becky's birthday. We have school uniform to buy which is going to be expensive this year as Ellie needs everything as she's grown so much. As well at that we're hopefully going to save for a few days out during the summer holidays. It's time to tighten our belts.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Sausage pasta.
Tuesday - Gammon with a honey glaze, new potatoes, carrots and peas.
Wednesday - A mid-week fake Chinese takeaway. Crispy battered chicken balls, egg fried rice, chicken chow mein, spring rolls and prawn crackers.
Thursday - Greggs Sausage & bean melts.
Friday - Fish, chips and mushy peas.
Saturday - Pizza.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  1. Ooh those sausage and bean melts sound divine - yummm ! I love the sound of the Chinese fakeaway too. You can't get Chinese takeaways here, or fish and chips, and I miss both ! Enjoy :) xx

  2. I love the sound of the mid-week fake Chinese takeaway - it all sounds very yummy. The sausage pasta looks good too - will have to try making that one at some point. #MMBC

  4. We tend to have clumps of birthdays like that too and it is hard when they land near holiday or back to school time. Sounds like a yummy week!
