Our weekly meal plan! 13th - 19th September. #MealPlanningMonday

Our Weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went really well. We ate everything. I think that is down to the fact it was the first week back at school and we needed lots of organisation. We also had Becky's birthday party tea and a meal out. The pizza from Wetherspoons was so good. It was one of those meals that I will be thinking about for the next few weeks.

The kids settled back into school and college fantastically well which made last week easier. Becky is still taking packed lunches to college and Ellie is having school lunches which she is enjoying although most days she has sandwiches or a panini. We were all tired out by Friday because of the early mornings. I am sure it will get easier as we get back into more of a routine.

I don't have any plans for this week at all which I am glad about. I think I need a week of calm with nothing much to do apart from the usual housework. Hooray!

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Chicken dippers, potato waffles and spaghetti hoops.
Wednesday - Spaghetti Bolognese and garlic bread.
Thursday - Leftover Bolognese in wraps.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Hot dogs in buns with fries.
Sunday - Some sort of casserole cooked in the slow cooker.

What are you eating this week?

  1. I have tacos on tonight's menu but my husband is out fishing today so if he catches something good we'll be adding fresh fish for the two of us!

  2. The first week of school is always tiring after lying in all summer! I hope you enjoy your quiet week.

The tuna and sweetcorn quiches look really easy to make - I like the fact that there is no pastry making involved. I'm definitely going to give the recipe a try. I'm winging it this week with our menu but we're definitely going to have a lentil soup one day :o)

  4. That looks like the perfect meal plan for a calmer week! Chicken dippers, waffles and spaghetti hoops tend to go down well here too. I like the sound of tuna and sweetcorn mini quiches. We also have hot dogs and pizza on our meal plan this week along with a lamb casserole cooked in the slow cooker so a similar week to yours. #MMBC

  5. Ooh the kids will definitely be happy with the whole week's meals - mine would wolf down the whole lot, if I could actually buy potato waffles and spaghetti hoops ! Good luck with getting back into routine. It does take a while (then you just about get sorted in time for half term holidays ! lol)
