In March I was grateful for... #365DaysOfGratitude

I have seen many people on social media list something every day that they are grateful for and thought I would join in and have on my private Facebook account every day and I thought I would share here too. I am hoping to continue it for the rest of the year and longer.

Today I am grateful

Day 60 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for pancakes!

Day 61 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for my memory. hehehe I almost forgot to do my day of gratitude but remembered just before I switched my laptop off. It has been a nice day. Made a corned beef & potato pie, there's leftovers for tomorrow, had a cosy day staying home out of the rain and I watched West Side Story, the new one and it was brilliant!!

Day 62 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a careers event at school. Ellie came home with a ton of leaflets and info about colleges and apprenticeships. I still can't get my head around the fact that she'll be leaving school next year!!

Day 63 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a takeaway. It seems ages since we last had one and the portions were that big there's leftovers for tomorrow.

Day 64 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for central heating! It's been a rotten day, cold too! After being out it was nice to come into a warm home.

Day 65 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a very cheap Gousto box being delivered. They have an offer on with 60% off. I am very impressed so far. 4 meals for 4 of us for £17 something including all the ingredients for Bangers & mash, Orange chicken & rice, Bacon & leek tart with potato salad & Chicken Souvlaki sandwich with herby fries.

Day 66 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for Stu having Monday's off work. It is nice to have a day with him, without the kids.

Day 67 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for the ridiculously huge cake that Becky and her girlfriend baked. It tastes amazing but did make me think of the one off the film Matilda that Bruce Bogtrotter has to eat.

Day 68 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for good doctors. I was starting to think there wasn't any in Scunthorpe but the cardiologist that Ellie saw has restored my faith.

Day 69 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a warm sunny day which has given me the motivation to make a start on making the garden look pretty again. I've ordered supplies. Seeds and compost.

Day 70 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for lunch out with Stu and making it back home before the rain started.

Day 71 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a very productive day. Ellie and I sorted her bedroom. 6 bags of clothes to donate, a box of toys and a box of books. Stu put down the new bathroom floor and it looks so much brighter in there. We had a lovely tea with the last of our meals from Gousto. We will be getting more boxes in the future, the meals are delicious and so easy to make and finally I received my order from Wilkos of gardening supplies. I can't wait to start growing things again. It was only 3/4 of my order though, I am still waiting for a mini greenhouse to be delivered

Day 72 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a lazy day. We watched Turning Red which is a great film and that's about it. We haven't done much else.

Day 73 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a surprise afternoon with Ellie. She was sent home from school sick but she's fine in herself and has eaten and kept food down. We spent the afternoon watching her choice of tv shows and had a few giggles.

Day 74 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for gardening. I spent the afternoon outside building my mini greenhouse and doing some planting.

Day 75 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for email and the ability to send angry one's to people who annoy me. The dentist receptionist! Filled in the forms before Becky's dentist check up and added her phone number and email address as she's an adult now and has to deal with her own appointments and the receptionist has changed Ellie's details to the same as Becky's so now Becky is getting all the emails and texts for her sister. Becky went into the dentist tonight and they said nothing can be done, they can't be separate. Grr! I think they should be since Becky has to pay for the privilege of getting her teeth checked. They say nothing can be done? We'll see! They're breaking their own rules, on the bottom of the email they sent it says "This e-mail message is confidential and is intended for use by the addressee only.". Becky is not the addressee. lol

Day 76 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for Ticketmaster and planning a night out. The last night out I had was over 2 years ago seeing this Bon Jovi tribute band and they were bloody brilliant. Tickets are bought and booked, now the countdown begins.

Day 77 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a fresh coat of paint on the back gate. It looks very fancy now.

Day 78 of #365DaysOfGratitude
I am late in sharing. Too busy watching films. The Adam Project and Free Guy are fantastic, especially if you are a Ryan Reynolds fan! Yesterday I was grateful for a productive day. We finally got around to changing the kids bedrooms around, they swapped. Becky now has the bigger room which she loves and Ellie the smaller room which she think will be easier to keep tidy. We'll see.

Day 79 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a sunny day and having an empty washing basket! Hooray for getting all the clothes out on the line!

Day 80 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for an early mother's day pressie from Becky. She messed up the Moonpig order and got them delivered as soon as possible instead of picking a delivery date. lol I don't mind them coming early, they're so pretty and the pots are so cute. They're now living on my kitchen windowsill.

Day 81 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a busy day. Time flies when I have lots of little jobs to do.

Day 82 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a fantastic report from school for Ellie. She is doing so well. I never imagined that she would love school as much as she does and her predicted grades for her GCSE's are pretty impressive. I regret telling her that she would get money for each grade C or above.

Day 83 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for sitting in the sun drinking coffee. I am loving this weather!

Day 84 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for Stu finishing work early. We had lunch out, a look around the local auction and stopped off at the pub for a pint and a sit in their beer garden. It's certainly the weather for it!

Day 85 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a fun day out at the auction. Got myself some sun loungers. Two with cushions and another with just the frame for £16.

Day 86 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for my two girls. They have spoilt me rotten with presents, cards and running about after me. It makes a nice change to have a day off. My favourite pressie was the rolling pin. I've joked about wanting a full size one for ages as I usually make do with a little one from one of their baking sets from years ago.

Day 87 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for paracetamol. I thought I was coming down with a cold but I think it was just hayfever as I feel better now. I did of course do a Covid test, negative!

Day 88 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for an unexpected lie in this morning. I needed it, losing that hour over the weekend really tired me out.

Day 89 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for fluffy socks and my blanket! It's been cold, it's crazy to think this time last week was sunshine and almost summer clothes.

Day 90 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for finally seeing all of Prison Break. I watched most of it years ago but didn't get around to the last series until now. I've been rewatching and I am finally all caught up.

What were you grateful for in March?

  1. We enjoyed The Adam Project and Free Guy too; I like most Ryan Reynolds movies. Did you ever see him in the show 2 guys, a girl, & a pizza place? It was an old sitcom from waaay back before he broke into movies.
