I have been in a bit of a grump this past week. Partly down to feeling tired and partly because of the weather. The sunshine last week was amazing and now we have this! Rain, cold and snow! Hmmf. I am really fearing for my little plants in my mini greenhouse. I found myself doing a lateral flow test on Monday as I wasn't feeling too great but it seems it was just hay fever.
We have finally reached the Easter holidays, hooray and we have a few plans, well the kids have more planned than I do. I will be sat at home twiddling my thumbs while they are out with friends. lol I suppose that is the joys of them getting older, they don't want to spend time with their mum. Hmmf.
Now for a photo every day!
We went to our local auction and of course stopped of in the cafe for something to eat and drink. It was slushies all round as the weather was so nice. I didn't get much of what I had my eye on in the auction but did get 2 sun loungers with the cushions on and just a frame for £16. I thought I would get some use out of them but the weather had different ideas.
86/365 - 27th March
I had a lovely Mother's day. I had the kids running about after me and I was spoilt rotten. I got chocolates, flowers, bath stuff, some little ornaments, a rolling pin and of course some cards.
87/365 - 28th March
Another Gousto meal. Chunky cottage pie. It was so good and it's another meal which I will be making myself in the future.
88/365 - 29th March
We have been sent a couple of games to try out and we knew we already loved Dobble but I love this Harry Potter version even more.
89/365 - 30th March
The weather forecast on my laptop warned that it was snowing, it wasn't. Not on Wednesday anyway, we just had rain. It was bitterly cold though, I want the sunshine back.
90/365 - 31st March
We woke up to snow on the roofs then it snowed off and on most of the day. It didn't settle though. Snow is fun and exciting in the winter but not at this time of year.
91/365 - 1st April
I had an amazing delivery of cupcakes and doughnuts on Thursday and I enjoyed another doughnut with my lunch yesterday. There will be a blog post all about the tasty treats coming soon.
Ooh that donut looks really good. The weather has been so all over the place hasn't it. Glad mother's day was good.
ReplyDeleteI feel the exact same way about snow this time of year! LOL. That donut looks delicious; I can't remember the last time I had one.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous that your holiday has started already. does that mean they go back straight after the Easter weekend? I had to go out when it was snowing...eeek! Thankfully it wasn't much. It has been so cold though, come back nice weather so you can make use of your sunloungers! xx
ReplyDeleteTypical that the weather changed just as you got the sun loungers but hopefully you’ll get some use out of them soon! Glad you had a lovely Mother’s Day. The chunky cottage pie and the doughnut both look delicious. #project365
ReplyDeleteThe weather was a bit on and off in the last 2 weeks. It was hot, so I bought some light tops as I was in London with only some clothes, not many, and then it got cold. :))
ReplyDeleteDobble is fun and the Harry Potter version must be just as entertaining.
Love the look of that doughnut!
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been really strange hasn't it??
Ooh I never knew there was a Harry Potter dobble....may have to get it.
LOVE the mother's day card!! We don't start the easter holiday's for another week. I've not managed to book anything yet
ReplyDeleteLots of snow flurries for us too down south! Finally on Easter hols now . We've just bought Dobble for our games night. #project365
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you I felt exactly the same with the weather, I really miss the glorious heat of the sun! Your local auction always sounds amazing, such a good idea for your area, wish we did it here. We love Dobble a Harry Potter version sounds perfect!
ReplyDeleteShoooo, I remember when the kids started spending more time with friends than with us, you do adjust, give it time. Wow to that donut delivery, where's my share? The snow flurries the end of march were bizarre
