Some random thoughts that I've had lately. Part Nine!

It's been a while since I have done one of these posts. Some of my random thoughts, thoughts that don't fit into a blog post but I want to mention them and share them with you. You can read my previous mind dump here.

The best episode of Stranger Things ever was episode 4 of the latest season. I was never a big fan of the character Max but wow and the girl playing her is such a cracking little actress.

It's a nice idea to stay friends with someone after you go through a break up but it's not always easy or possible and Becky has learned that the hard way. I explained to Becky that I split with her real dad when she was almost 4 and had so many arguments and disagreements since. It's only over the last couple of years we have became friends again.

Hopefully we will never have to hear the words "Platty Joobs" again. lol

People in shops or restaurants who roll their eyes at me when I make simple requests won't be getting my custom. I will quite happily walk out if they can't serve me with a bit of respect, for themselves and me! 

The kids birthdays are coming up in the next few months and I have no idea what to get them. Ellie was supposed to be getting a new phone but Becky got herself a new one and gave Ellie her old one and now Becky buys whatever she wants herself before I even have chance to mention getting it for her birthday.

Buying Stu 50 birthday presents for his birthday was a great idea until it actually came to thinking up 50 different things to give him.

It turns out the over 50's where I live are more the party animals than the youngsters. At the Jubilee events locally they were the one's drinking lots and up dancing. Good on them!

If I ask Ellie to walk anywhere with me she complains and moans the whole time yet she can go with her friends and walk for miles and have the best time. Maybe I need to start getting stuck in mud, roll down hills and get stung by nettles to make things more fun. 

My sunflowers are taking over the garden again! They're getting so tall and my pumpkins are growing too! 

Ducks fly, who'd have thought? My girls did not know that. I sometimes wonder if their heads are full of cotton wool.

I am very annoyed that the Bon Jovi tribute show my dad's partner and me were supposed to be seeing have rescheduled their show. To next July. Ugh!

It turns out the kids see Stu as the responsible parent and me as the fun one. All because for a split second I considered their request of getting dessert delivered. We didn't but because I wavered once they will of course be trying to push their luck.

The saddest episodes of Neighbours in a long time have been on this week. I cried buckets, probably more than when Sonya died! 

How have the kids only got a handful of weeks left at school in this school year?
