In August I was grateful for... #365DaysOfGratitude

I have seen many people on social media list something every day that they are grateful for and thought I would join in and have on my private Facebook account every day and I thought I would share here too. I am hoping to continue it for the rest of the year and longer.

Grateful

In August I was grateful for:

Day 213 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a roast dinner. It seems ages since we last had one.

Day 214 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for online shopping and getting the majority of Stu's birthday presents sorted. The last should be arriving over the next couple of days.

Day 215 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a sunny day! I got lots of washing done.

Day 216 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for the last of my parcels being delivered. That's Stu's birthday sorted. Just need to book the table for a meal out and sort his cake & then I'm done with the preparation.

Day 217 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a nice bottle of wine. I don't usually drink red wine but it's really nice.

Day 218 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that I have plenty of Covid tests. Thank goodness the kids were good at bringing them home from school and college when they were free. I think we'll need them. Stu has tested positive, he felt rotten today at work and I made him take a test as soon as he got in. The rest of us are negative, we've just tested too. He is quarantining in Becky's room and she's in with me.

Positive Covid test

Day 219 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that Covid doesn't seem to be hitting Stu too hard. He's aching less than he did but is sleeping more than I've ever known him to, he has a cough but is eating and still drinking plenty, I am hoping this is as bad as it gets.

Day 220 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that the orange Yorkie bar did not disappoint. I just wish I had bought more than one, it was so good!

Day 221 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that despite us all having Covid we're not feeling too bad. Stu is just tired and me and the girls feel like we have a cold.

Day 222 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for paracetamol, cups of tea with honey and lemon and the fan!

Day 223 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that I feel much better now compared to the last few days. I think we're over the worst of Covid. Now if this heatwave could just do one I would be really happy! lol

Day 224 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for ready meals that I can just pop in the microwave! We've been living off them for the past week. We haven't been in the mood to cook and the kitchen is too hot at tea time anyway.

Day 225 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that Stu brought me home some different drinks. I have drunk so much blackcurrant juice over the last 5 days I'm sick of it. He got me Mango flavoured lemonade and some other fruity lemonade. They made a refreshing change.

Day 226 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a nice Sunday. Still no negative Covid test for the girls and me but we are all feeling much better!! We're at the point now where we don't know if it's Covid, hay fever or the heatwave.

Day 227 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that Stu loved his birthday presents. He got them early so he could open them with the kids. (He's at work tomorrow and gets in just as Becky is leaving for work!) I'm also grateful that the kids got negative Covid tests. Just me to go now and then we're in the clear!

Day 228 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that Stu had a great birthday, Becky is back at work and we have leftover pizza for lunch tomorrow.

Day 229 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for the hoover! I've just sucked up a humongous spider! Eek!

Day 230 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for chicken and ham hock pie! I made one and it was so good.

Day 231 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a mooch around town. Got Ellie a few things for her birthday and proved to the kids that you can get Tango Ice blasts from the cinema without seeing a film! They really thought they could only buy food & drinks from the cinema if you were paying to see a film.

Day 232 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Yesterday I was grateful for spending some time with Becky. It was nice her not being on a night shift.

Day 233 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for Stu cleaning the bathroom. A job I had been putting off all week

Day 234 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for home made popcorn. The kids found the microwave stuff in a local shop and it's pretty good.

Day 235 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a fun trip to the cinema.

Day 236 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that there are eyes everywhere. hehehe. Ellie got caught out not being very careful on her bike and she was spotted by someone who told my dad who then told me.

Day 238 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful for a walk out to see my dad. A burger at the cafe and a look around the auction. There was nothing in there for me but Ellie spotted about 15 things that she wanted.

Day 239 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that my girls get along sometimes. lol Becky has taken Ellie out for an early birthday treat. They're getting something to eat and are doing a bit of shopping. It gave me chance to get Ellie's birthday presents wrapped.

Day 242 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful to catch the last of the sun setting. The darker nights are coming!

Day 243 of #365DaysOfGratitude
Today I am grateful that it is pay day! All the bills have been paid and now it's time to start thinking about buying Christmas presents.

How was August for you? What were you grateful for?

  1. It is the small things that we sometimes forget to be grateful for. I wish my husband would clean the bathroom as it is my least favourite job and online shopping can be such a life saver. I am glad that none of you were really ill with Covid and that it was all gone for Ellie's birthday.

  2. Glad everyone is feeling better and that both birthday celebrations went well!
