Last weeks meal plan went well. The lentil and bacon soup was a huge success. The kids loved it and went back for 2nds. I'm glad I made a full slow cooker of it. There was more than enough and for the next day too! We had a nice treat with the gammon steaks, home made chips. They were fried too so tasted amazing!
This week I haven't got the usual grocery order. We don't need to really. I am trying to use up what we have in the cupboards and the freezer before I start the shopping for Christmas. We have plenty in. I will have to nip to Tesco for bread, milk and some fruit at some point but at the moment there's no rush.
This week on the menu we have:
Monday - Leftover sausage casserole with jacket potatoes.
Tuesday - Fish fingers, chips and spaghetti hoops.
Wednesday - Pie and mash.
Thursday - We're going out for a meal for my birthday.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Chinese fakeaway. Spring rolls, chicken balls, chow mein, egg fried rice and prawn crackers.
I reckon I could take a drive to yours, on Saturday! Lol x
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a very tasty menu for the colder weather! :) I have not have lentil and bacon soup for years, you have just inspired me to get my slow cooker out and start making warming soups! Sim x
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good menu. Happy Birthday! Mine is Wednesday and we're going out too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love homemade soups and have made plenty this season, particularly using squashes, as they seem to be in abundance. Must give lentil and bacon a go. Sounds lovely
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the sound of all that - oooh the Chinese fakeaway in particular sounds great. Have you got space for one more ?!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done a Chinese fake away in ages, must give that a go. Enjoy your meal out and your birthday x
ReplyDeleteWe have been trying lots of new soup recipes lately too and we are just loving most of them. It's perfect on a cold night.
ReplyDeleteCan we come over for Chinese? Or pizza. ☺️
