10 box sets which I can watch over and over.

I have been a little lost with what to watch on TV now that all the soaps are only showing a few times a week. I have rewatched The Walking Dead, most of Prison Break and I have just finished The 100. I do love a box set and now is the perfect time to watch a new one or rewatch and old one.

These are 10 box sets which I can watch over and over!

Gavin and Stacey!
The show follows the romance between Gavin, from Billericay in Essex, and Stacey, from Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. Initially, Gavin lives with his parents, Pam and Mick, and spends most of his time with his best friend, Smithy.

As a family we all love this and I think of it as Sunday afternoon TV. Easy to watch with lots of laughs. Even thought it's about Gavin & Stacey I prefer all the other characters to them. No one is funnier than Nessa well apart from maybe Bryn of Smithy.

The Walking Dead!
Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes gets shot in combat and awakens to a zombie apocalypse. ... The Walking Dead tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors, led by former police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home.

I rewatched this a couple of months ago with my teen. She was watching it for the first time and it was funny to watch her watching it. She knew who was alive in the latest episodes but it was funny to see her panicking over people who got in sticky situations early on. Negan is her favourite character even though she hated him for at least a couple of series. He is so witty but charming at the same time. All through she wished someone dead and when that person died she cried. lol She can't wait to watch the final episode of the latest series later this year.

Breaking Bad!
Walter White, a chemistry teacher, discovers that he has cancer and decides to get into the meth-making business to repay his medical debts. His priorities begin to change when he partners with Jesse.

At some point in the last five years, somebody must’ve told you to go and watch Breaking Bad and if you didn’t listen to them you’re missing out completely. It is such an amazing show! All I can think about is poor Jesse!

Friends!
Friends follows the personal and professional lives of six twenty to thirty something year old friends living in Manhattan. In 1994, the idea was created for "Friends" a show about six friends in New York as they navigate their way through life and learn to grow up as they approach the third decade of their life.

You can’t beat the classics, can you? I have seen all 236 episodes of Friends more than once and it doesn't get old. Joey has to be my favourite with Phoebe coming a close second. I know most of the episodes word for word and I think my favourite has to be "The One Where No One’s Ready!". Could I be wearing any more clothes? hehehe

Game of Thrones!
Based on George R. R. Martin's novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire. Nine noble families wage war against each other in order to gain control over the mythical land of Westeros. Meanwhile, a force is rising after millenniums and threatens the existence of living men.

It took me ages to get into Game of Thrones. I think I watched the first couple of episodes a few times before I ever watched more. I just didn't get it but once I did get it, I loved it! I think my favourite characters were Bronn. He had the best lines and Tyrion! It's crazy to think last week was a year since they showed the last ever episode.

Lost!
The survivors of a plane crash find themselves stranded on a mysterious island. They are forced to work together for their survival when they realise that they are not alone on the island.

I remember watching Lost when Becky was little and it confused the life out of me but it always had me asking loads of questions. What was with the numbers? What was the deal with Walt? What, what, what! I have watched it couple of times since.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer!
A young woman, destined to slay vampires, demons and other infernal creatures, deals with her life fighting evil, with the help of her friends. "In every generation there is a chosen one... she alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness.

I got into this well before I had kids. I used to watch it on the TV. I remember watching an episode in pain with appendicitis refusing to let my partner at the time ring an ambulance until it was finished. (I had surgery the next day. lol) It was Graduation Day Part 1 so it was a big episode. I have seen each episode of Buffy many times since. I always cry at a certain episode when someone dies and of course the last one. They have just started reshowing it on E4, every week night at 11pm. Of course I am recording it to watch again!

Prison Break!
Prison Break follows a man, Michael Scofield, on his mission to break his brother out of prison. Michael is convinced that his brother, Lincoln Burrows, is innocent of the crime for which he was committed, which was the murder of the vice president's brother!

I love this. It is such a crazy story line and I thought after the they escaped from prison that would be it but no! It's one of those shows I watch and think just one more episode again and again and before I know it, it's after midnight!

The 100.
Ninety-seven years after a devastating nuclear apocalypse wipes out almost all life on Earth, thousands of people now live in a space station orbiting Earth, which they call the Ark. Three generations have been born in space, bringing the population of the Ark beyond carrying capacity. One-hundred juvenile detainees are sent to Earth in a last attempt to determine whether it is habitable. They discover that some survived the apocalypse: the grounders, who live in clans locked in a power struggle; the Reapers, another group of grounders who have been turned into cannibals by the Mountain Men; and the Mountain Men, who live in Mount Weather, descended from those who locked themselves away before the apocalypse. Under the leadership of Bellamy and Clarke, the juveniles attempt to survive the harsh surface conditions, battle hostile grounders and establish communication with the Ark.

I have just finished rewatchign this until the end of the 6th series. The 7th has just started in the US and it's the final one. Eek! I have no idea how it's going to end. If you told me they would be where they are now at the start of the show I'd have thought you were mad. There is so much drama and it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

The Inbetweeners.
This series chronicles the escapades and quests of four socially troubled high school friends as they grow from their teenage years to adulthood.

It's crude, immature and often quite disgusting but every episode is just as funny as the next one. They really do make me laugh out loud despite seeing them all several times.

What box sets do you love?
