Our weekly meal plan! 9th - 15th August. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went so well. We ate just about everything and everything was enjoyed. We had a meal out on Monday while we were out shopping for school uniform. Just in Wetherspoons but it was nice. Stu and Ellie were very impressed with their burgers and I stuck with the normal Scampi & chips which I always have.

The Dumpling topped minced beef pie from Morrisons which we had midweek was so good and I will be buying them again. I am glad I bought two as they were quite small and one wouldn't have fed the four of us. It was just what we needed on a rainy evening. We have been making our own pizzas for the last couple of weeks and I think we will be for the rest of the summer holidays. It gives the kids something to do and it works out cheaper than a takeaway or even buying the fancy one's that the kids want from the supermarket. Yesterday we had a little roast dinner which wasn't on the meal plan but it was enjoyed.

I got another bargain from the auction local to us, a treadmill for £15. It's obviously 2nd hand but it's something Stu and I have always wanted but a new one was well out of our budget. I am getting right into exercise at the moment. I have been doing some sort of exercise every day. Going on the cross trainer, playing on Just Dance on the Wii or just walking. It's making me want to eat better too. I have cut down on the snacks and I am past the point of aching every day. I am starting to feel better for the exercise.

On the menu this week we have:

Pork and apple sausages with potato wedges.
Bolognese Tortelloni with garlic bread.
Ham salad.
Veggie fingers and egg fried rice covered in sweet & sour sauce.
Burgers in buns with fries.
Garlic & herb salmon with new potatoes.
Pizza.

What are you eating this week?

  1. We're eating lots of chicken and fish and fresh veggies after eating out on vacation all last week. I am determined to work out every day this week too.

  2. That all sounds lovely - the veggie fingers look interesting. Well done on grabbing the treadmill. That's a great price - you always do really well at the auctions :)

  3. I tend to go for scampi when we have a meal out too. My kids love making pizza but we haven't done it for a while, I'll have to get some things in the next shop for them. Pork and apple sausages are my favourite and they are on the menu for us this week too. x

  5. We had burgers today. I tend to do homemade pizzas quite a lot in the winter but try to avoid too many oven meals in summer as the kitchen gets too hot
