Week 40 of #Project365. 2nd - 8th October. A photo every day for a year!

Week 40 sounds so close to the end of the year, I know I keep saying it but where has this year gone? I have started preparing for Christmas buying some presents, the kids advent calendars and next week I am starting the food shopping, stuff to go in the freezer.

Becky did her first night shift at the care home this week and survived. She spent most of the night watching people sleep. She came in full of energy and wide awake but within 10 minutes of getting into bed she was sound asleep. lol I am so proud of her. She has another night shift tonight and is looking forward to it.

Now for a photo every day!

Crisps and Christmas music on the TV
A win on Fortnite
My eldest & packed lunch boxes
The sun in the sky & pears

268/365 - 2nd October
Ready salted crisps are the simplest flavour but I always fancy a packet after a glass of wine.

269/365 - 3rd October
It's that time of year, Christmas music is back on the TV on one of the music channels. I love it but will of course be sick of it by Christmas.

270/365 - 4th October
A win on Fortnite! Hiding still works for me. hehehe

271/365 - 5th October
Becky was off to college for half a day and to pick up a laptop. They have plenty going spare and asked if anyone would like to borrow one while they are doing their course to save taking theirs backwards and forwards to college. I would rather the college one gets damaged than Becky's.

272/365 - 6th October
Packed lunches all round. I wish the kids would stick to either packed lunches or school/college dinners instead of swapping and changing.

273/365 - 7th October
After a wet couple of days the sun came back and I got some washing out on the line.

274/365 - 8th October
I went to my dad's and picked some pears of his pear tree. I will be making something with them over the next few days.

  1. I can't hear Maria Carey's Christmas song without thinking of Love Actually! I love Christmas music and movies but definitely have to wait until the end of November to start enjoying them so I don't burn out on them before the big day.

  2. Aw, well done Becky, sounds like she has really settled in with her new job.
I love a pack of crisps with a drink too, my fave is cheese and onion.
Well done on the Fortnite win lol. We were like big kids this morning when we found The Walking Dead characters in the shop! Just had to get them. xx

  3. I haven't listened to any Xmas music yet, but whenever I hear Last Christmas in the shops that means Christmas is coming. Well done on your Fortnite win. Ready Salted is a good flavour, though my favourite would be Salt & Vinegar. What will you be doing with pears? Jam, chutney or pies?

  4. I've started on the Christmas movies, but not the music until the start of December. Well done Becky for getting on with her job. I think Ready Salted crisps are underrated. I've not had a packet of crisps since early March although I occasionally steal one of N's crisps.

  5. Glad Becky's job is going well! I quite like ready salted crisps.

my parents had a pear tree but it got sick so they got rid of it last year

  6. 40 weeks is enough time to have a baby! The weeks are racing by... I've sung a couple of Christmas songs this week but not actively searched: time to change that! #project365

  7. Well done Becky, I use to work in a care home although never did a night shift. I am resisting the urge to put Christmas films on Netflix but I do not think it will last long. Ready salted are my favourites and the only ones I eat now. How lovely to get pears cant wait to see what you make with them.

  8. Well done to Becky on getting through her first night shift and hope the next one went well. I love ready salted crisps too – the simple flavours are the best. That’s good that the college has laptops for the students to borrow. How lovely to have home-grown pears from your dad’s garden. #project365
