We are at that time of year where the games come out on an evening, especially a Saturday when we're all home. We are always on the look out for new games to add to our collection and recently we were sent Tension Foodies Edition to try out.
The perfect ingredient for a great evening's entertainment, Tension Foodies Edition is certain to satisfy your hunger for fun. Can you handle the Tension?
Can you name 10 types of pasta in 60 seconds? What about 10 different cheeses? You'll find the answers on the tip of your tongue, but can you shout them quickly enough?
With 200 different naming challenges, Tension Foodies offers hours of family fun. You can play Tension Foodies with just 2 people or in teams which adds to the fun when two or more people are shouting out the answers at the same time. This would be a great game for a family get together or party.
It doesn't matter if you're twelve or eighty, the gameplay is the same: correctly name as many of the examples on the card before the timer runs out. The handy slide scorer records correct answers and prevents arguments during the game!
This is such a fun game and the timer seems to run down so quickly when you are trying to think of 10 things in a certain subject. Who'd have thought my family couldn't name 10 things on an English breakfast in the time given! To make things interesting only answers on the game card count, causing a little excitement and debate as it isn’t always the most common food item included. My family were very annoyed that onion rings weren't a correct answer for the breakfast card even though we sometimes have them on an English breakfast if we're having it for tea.
Most of the cards feature a subject that we could name the majority of the things but there were some which where we only finished with a couple of points. I drink wine but could only get 2 of the Wine regions in France.
I would say this is a good game for teenagers and adults as you do have to know a little about food and I think younger children would struggle.
On the instructions for the game it mentions progressing around the board but there is no board with this game, I assume this version is an add on for the original Tension game but it really doesn't matter, a board isn't needed. You just play with the score pad.
We love this game and it is fun to play as a family and I think we will be playing again and again when we have time together.
You can buy Tension Foodies from most places which sell board games but prices do vary. At the moment it is on Amazon for around £16.00 but The Range are selling it for £7.99.
We were sent the game Tension Foodies Edition from Cheatwell Games free of charge in exchange for this blog post.
sounds like a fun game. But I'd probably win, I know my food. :) x
ReplyDeleteThis looks fun, I love quiz games. The idea is somewhat similar to 'Tenable', which I enjoy watching now and then :-) x
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like fun. We play games in the run-up to Christmas, so I might get this one too. The price at Range is really good.
ReplyDeleteThis game sounds fun and fairly straightforward. I love board games but I'm not a fan of trying to work out the rules. This one sounds like a lot of fun and doesn't seem to have complicated rules.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fun game. I like such games to spend family time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. Have a great week!
