Our weekly meal plan! 7th - 13th November. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went OK. Some of the meals were eaten and some were not. We never ended up going to the firework display on Saturday. It was so wet and cold out and because of that the kids weren't fussed about going so instead we got a takeaway and stayed in the warm and it was warm, we had the heating on for the first time since the beginning of the year. We did have a fab day on Saturday, Stu was off work and we went to our local auction to bid on some Doctor Who stuff for Ellie. She is really in to Doctor Who at the moment and from what I can see online you can't buy these things unless it's off Ebay and their prices are just silly.

I didn't bother getting a food shop delivered over the weekend. We have so much in the freezer and I want to run it down before the end of this month so I can fill it up with Christmas goodies. We made a start last week as the kids ate some pasta and curry one night and we also used up some leftover Bolognese because I never got around to making it from scratch. I love Christmas food especially the party things. I see the supermarkets are slowly getting things in and expect them to ramp their efforts up this week now that Halloween and Bonfire night are over.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Beef stew cooked in the slow cooker. I have some diced beef and plenty of veg in the freezer. We will have it with mashed potato.
Tuesday - Fish finger pie.
Wednesday - Meatballs and spaghetti with garlic bread.
Thursday - Leftover meatballs covered in cheese in buns.
SaturdayA little party tea with the random things in the freezer like sausage rolls, mini quiches, chicken goujons, spring rolls and things like that.
Sunday - Slow cooker pulled gammon with BBQ sauce in buns with salad.

What are you eating this week?

  2. I can't believe how many weeks I'm catching up on here. It's such a pain that the blog updates no longer come in by email :( Great idea to make space for Christmas food. It's coming round so fast. Love the sound of fish finger pie - haven't had that for ages and it always goes down well :)
