Our weekly meal plan! 2nd - 8th January. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Happy New Year, here's to 2023!

Last weeks meal plan went well, it couldn't really go wrong as we were mostly eating leftovers, snacking out of the fridge and eating party food. I do love that week which doesn't involve me spending much time in the kitchen. It's like a little holiday for me.

I started writing this blog post with not a clue what we're eating this week. I feel like we need to get back to normal, healthier food but a few more days won't hurt us. We're still not quite out of the festive period yet even though all the Christmas decorations are down, Ellie doesn't go back to school until Thursday so we're just enjoying this week and making the most of the time that we have together.

I have started making plans for the new year and the first job on my list is to decorate the bathroom. We last did it in 2020 and it is now looking old and tatty. We're having a change of colour, we're going from the yellow to grey. It's going to be my little project, the last time the bathroom was decorated I did it all so I know I can do it. The only job Stu will be doing is painting the ceiling, I don't do ceilings. hehehe

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - One last day of fending for ourselves and snacking on leftover party food and out of the fridge.
TuesdayHot dogs in buns with fries..
Wednesday - A midweek roast dinner. Chicken and lots of vegetables.
Thursday - Leftover roast dinner pie with mash.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - We will have the last of the party food out of the freezer.
Sunday - Sausages, hash browns, black pudding, bacon, tomatoes, baked beans and toast.

What are you eating this week?

  1. All the best with your bathroom project. It will look so lovely and fresh when it is all done. The only room left to paint in my house is the living room. I never got back to it after I madly painted most of the house around the middle of last year. I keep looking at it and it's starting to irritate me so I will try and get it done these holidays. You've inspired me 😊
