Our weekly meal plan! 1st - 7th January. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan seems such a long time ago even though the past week seems to have flown over in a haze of watching films on TV, eating and being very lazy. It has been lovely. Of course last weeks meal plan went to plan, there wasn't much to it, we ate all the leftovers from the Christmas dinner and had picky food for lunch. We are almost ready to start eating normal meals again, I could do with a few more days of everyone just helping themselves to food but we need to get back into a routine.

I hope you all had a great Christmas and a fab New Years Eve. We had a fab evening playing games, listening to music and just spending time together. We had a ton of party food last night and we have leftovers to eat today. After today we will eat better!

We are going to ease into the year slowly as Ellie doesn't go back to college until next week. So us two are still on holiday mode with lazyish days. I am going to make a point of getting dressed in normal clothes, for the last week I've been in pj's. I'd like to say it's saved on the washing but it hasn't, I have been getting up and putting clean pj's on and then changing them for my normal bedtime one's. Yes, I have different pj's some which I don't even wear for bed as they are too thick.

On the menu this week we have:

Leftovers from last nights party tea. Yum, yum!

Pea and ham soup with bread rolls. I will go to the butchers to get the bread rolls, theirs are amazing!

Chinese style pork rib steaks with egg fried rice and spring rolls.

Lamb Meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veg. This was a Gousto meal that we had a few months ago. My family didn't like lamb until we had this meal, they are now asking for it.

Scampi, chips and mushy peas.

Spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread and then the next day we will have bolognese in wraps. It gets messy but they are so good.

What are you eating this week?

  1. I have no idea what we're eating this week; today is leftovers from my mother's birthday party last night and then I'll need to make a run to the grocery store tomorrow (and a menu before we do that!). I'm hoping for lots of light, vegetable heavy meals with no sugar or fat since I feel like I have reached my threshold for junky eating.
