Week 1 of #Project365 1st - 6th January! A photo every day for a year!

Happy New Year! That is the last time I am going to say it. lol I hope you have all had a good start to 2024! Ours has been a slow one, we are not back into a routine yet, that happens tomorrow when Ellie goes back to college. Eek! We have had a good week and it feels like we have started the year off right. We've not made resolutions as such but we've made some aims and goals that we want to work towards.

Week 1 of Project 365 feels like a short one as I made sure to add an extra photo to finish off 2023 so that means that there is one less this week. Of course I am carrying on with a photo every day! I love recording the every day moments, you have no idea how many times I go back and prove a point to my family showing them that certain things happened on a specific week. hehehe

Now for a photo every day!

Mini burgers and ginger beer
Jack Skellington hoodie and my youngest and I
Blue skies and football on the TV

1/365 - 1st January
We ate the last of the party food and the kids were so happy about the mini burgers that I had forgotten about for the New Years Eve party tea. Food is always more fun when it's mini!

2/365 - 2nd January
In January I always try eat a bit better and change what I eat and drink, especially after Christmas. As a treat I bought myself a bottle of ginger beer, after all ginger is good for you. The Fentimans Ginger Beer is my favourite ginger beer to drink.

3/365 - 3rd January
Ellie is finally stopped wearing pyjamas and has started wearing the clothes she got for Christmas. I love this Nightmare Before Christmas hoodie of hers, especially Jack Skellington on the back. It was bought from Primark and I am very annoyed I paid about £18 for it as we saw it on sale for £10 on Thursday. Hmmf.

4/365 - 4th January
Ellie and I decided to have a trip into town to meet up with Becky who was there. We went for lunch and had a look around the shops. It was nice afternoon and amazingly we didn't spend much. Ellie did try, she spotted quite a few things in Primark that she wanted. I told her to wear all the clothes that she got for Christmas and then she can think about buying more.

5/365 - 5th January
Blue skies!! We've had some awful weather over the past couple of weeks, all the rain has caused floods and even though it hasn't been that cold it hasn't been that bright so it was nice to see some sunshine and blue skies.

6/365 - 6th January
I don't usually watch the football unless it's the Euro's or the World cup but had to yesterday with Newcastle and Sunderland playing. It is such a big deal when they play with it being a North East derby. Newcastle won, 3 - 0, it's the first time they have beaten Sunderland since 2011!!

  4. It just feels like we've had so much rain and wind over the last 2 months. Hopefully we'll get some drier weather for a bit. Nice to get out and do some shopping even if there was no spending going on.

  5. Happy New Year, again. Will be saying it a few more times when we go back to school tomorrow for sure. Glad the flooding has cleared up. I've not seen anything worth buying in the sales over the past week. It is annoying though when you see things on sale you paid full price for he week before.

  6. Hi, Kim. I really think this is neat. I am afraid to try to do this project. My life is same o, same o. Not a lot happens and I would scramble to find things to take pictures of!
    Take care and best wishes.

  7. I have never had "ginger beer." In the US we have the soda "ginger ale" which is probably pretty similar. I love ginger ale and I bet that ginger beer is really good. #MMBC

  8. What is it about miniature food that makes it so much more enticing? It’s always well loved here too!

  9. I’m with you on food being more fun when it’s mini. Those mini burgers are cute. It’s frustrating when you buy something and then see it on sale shortly afterwards. Lovely to see some blue skies – I don’t mind the cold so much when the sun’s shining. #project365
