Our weekly meal plan! 11th - 17th October. #MealPlanningMonday

Our Weekly Meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went OK. The Bolognese sausage roll. didn't go too well, it was too soggy and the pastry turned into mush. We still ate it though and it was something different. lol We skipped the roast dinner yesterday, I just couldn't be bothered to cook it, for no reason apart from the fact I was having a lazy Sunday and didn't feel like spending time in the kitchen cooking. We're having it today and I am looking forward to it. I am going all out we're having everything. All the veg, stuffing, pigs in blankets and Yorkshire puddings.

I have been busy preparing for Christmas. I ordered quite a few presents late last week and they have started to be delivered. Stu and I went to town over the weekend and got some more presents and last week I sorted out the freezers to make room to start filling with Christmas food. I'm thinking pigs in blankets, party food and stuffing.

I don't think we have much on this week, well not much that I can think of. I am going to find some time to dye my hair. The purple is starting to wash out and it is all different shades with blonde showing through. I am thinking of putting a blue over the top, it should be OK.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - A roast chicken dinner with all of the trimmings including pigs in blankets.
Tuesday - Leftover roast dinner pie but I will just be using the veg and the stuffing and saving the chicken for the next day.
Wednesday - Slow Cooker Irn Bru Chicken and rice.
Thursday - Tuna and sweetcorn pasta.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Scampi, chips and peas.
Sunday - Sausage, mash and veg.

What are you eating this week?

  1. I did say last week that I didn't like the sound of the bolognese sausage rolls, lol, you should have listened to me. We are having a roast dinner today because we couldn't be bothered to cook it yesterday too. Plus you are having two of my favourites this week, scampi and sausage and mash (although I have to say that toad-in-the-hole is my utmost favourite.) xx

  2. I was just looking at our weekly menu and realized that 4 of the meals are foods that my middle son won't eat so I've got to shuffle things around a bit. I don't mind if not everyone eats what I'm cooking but I like to try to make sure everyone has at least one meal each week that they like!

  3. omg! I have never used Irn Bru in cooking before, will need to check that out and see if the kids would try it sounds intriguing. I normally do sausages and all the trimmings on a Sunday but I couldn't be bothered yesterday either, so planning on doing that tonight x

  7. Irn Bru chicken sounds interesting. I have used Coke before and that was tasty so I might give Irn Bru a go instead.

  8. This all sounds delicious! We've got lots of veggies on the menu this week as my fiance prefers to keep it meat light. Cesar broccoli with a fried egg on toast, tofu stir fry, and more!

  9. I am intrigued by the irn bru chicken. I love Irn Bru but my family are not fans. I might have to try it and see if they like it in food! being half scottish it's a thing for me. Hope you have a good week!
