Our weekly meal plan! 1st - 7th August. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went to plan until we got to Sunday. We had leftover pizza from the night before so by the time we ate that for lunch we didn't fancy much on the evening so we just had cereal to eat.

On Saturday the girls and I had a day out at Hull. We went to their Pride event and there were some sights to see. What really made me smile was that everybody was accepting of everyone else. Well mostly, I was not accepting of children with whistles. lol I can still hear them ringing in my ears now. We had a great day and did a bit of shopping too, getting Stu a few more presents for his birthday in a couple of weeks.

We don't have much on this week, nothing that I can think of anyway. The weather doesn't look that great, rain but at least it's still warm. I really need to get out into the garden to cut the grass and do some weeding sometime soon though. Last week we decided, well the kids decided they fancied chip butty's from the chip shop for lunch on Wednesday and I think it's something we're going to carry on. It's a nice treat for us.

This week's meals seem pretty boring, I never got around to ordering the food shop during the week for the weekend so ended up sat here on Saturday evening doing it to be delivered yesterday. I was not feeling inspired.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - A roast chicken dinner.
Tuesday - Leftover roast dinner pie with the leftover mashed potato on the side.
Wednesday - Sandwiches, cakes, crisps. A lazy tea.
Thursday - Turkey burgers and sweet potato fries.
FridayJacket potatoes with probably baked beans and cheese on top.
Saturday - Corn dogs, onion rings, corn on the cob and fries.
Sunday - Toad in the hole, mash and veg.

What are you eating this week?

  1. I agree a lot of high whistling can be annoying. Sometimes I have the same problem with dinner. If I put off deciding what I'm eating, I am faced with no meal. Phooey! #MMBC

  2. Sounds like you had a fun weekend! Your meal plans always inspire me, I had one good week and did a meal plan but I haven't done one for this week yet. I better get onto it. I love turkey burgers and so does the rest of my family. They are just so much juicer and tastier than regular beef burgers. Hope you have a great rest of the week xx

  3. Great meal ideas for the week! I may use your list to plan my dinners this week as I haven't given it a thought yet! Never heard of toad in a hole. I will have to see what that is all about.

  4. Arghh whistles haha! I bet that was annoying. I have gone to Birmingham Pride numerous times with my friend Chas and it's an awesome atmosphere.
Your meal plan looks yummy! Joben is loving chippy dinners at the minute, I'm not complaining though. x

  5. Ooh sweet potato fries - I've never tried those but they sound nice and something a bit different. I'm not big on whistles either, especially if there are a lot of them being endlessly blown with excess enthusiasm ! lol
