I have been getting out in the garden a lot over the last couple of weeks mostly clearing all the dead plants, weeding and digging. I was about to get rid of the dead sunflowers when I noticed the ladybird, the first one I have seen this year. I left it be.

I don't think I've seen any ladybirds yet, but we do get a lot. It's a good job you noticed it. xx
ReplyDeleteI like ladybirds and they’re the only insect I’m not scared of. I did look at one under a strong magnifying glass one time and freaked myself out. Luckily I have wiped that from my memory and I’m still ok with them crawling on me if I don’t think about it too much. Hehe
ReplyDeleteHow cute! I love ladybirds. Laughing at Ruth's comment hehe. I bet they do look menacing under a magnifying glass though! xx
ReplyDeleteWow, I've not seen any ladybirds here so far this year. The bees are about though.

Ladybirds are so cute and they are great for the garden as they eat parasites. xx

ReplyDeleteHow lovely! I haven't seen a ladybird yet this year. All the plants and insects seem to be so late this spring. I can't believe it's May already!
