I have seen many people on social media list something every day that they are grateful for and thought I would join in and have on my private Facebook account every day and I thought I would share here too.
I did this for the whole of last year and it has really made me realise that even on the bad day's I have something to be grateful for.

Today I am grateful for chip butties from the chip shop for lunch.

Today I am grateful for a day with Becky. It's not often that we spend a whole day together now so I made the most of it.

Today I am grateful for a quiet afternoon to myself. Becky was in bed for her night shift and Ellie was out with her boyfriend.

Today I am grateful for The Sims! I have spent so long playing today, I bet I will be dreaming about it.

Today I am grateful that Stu finally finished putting Ellie's shelves up in her bedroom. She spent the evening arranging everything on them.

Today I am grateful that I got a lot done around the house today. I actually emptied the dirty washing basket which is pretty rare at this time of year. I got 3 loads dried, I thought I'd make the most of the sunshine in case we do get snow later on in the week.

Today I am grateful that I've stayed warm today. We've had a bit of snow falling but it's not settled, well it might have by now, I've not looked out of the window in a while.

Today I am grateful that Ellie has been offered a place on the course that she wants to do at college. Electrical engineering! She is so excited and can't wait until September!

Today I am grateful for a bunch of flowers from my girls, an early mother's day present. They had the sense to get them now before everywhere puts their prices up or sells out.

Today I am grateful that the building work is done in the living room. Now it's up to me to get it painted although the grey from the plasterboard is starting to grow on me!

Today I am grateful that I had the motivation to do the painting in the living room. The new wall looks fantastic but it's made me realised that the rest of the room needs decorating too. lol

Today I am grateful for proper fried home made chips! They made a nice change from oven chips and they went perfectly with the black pudding scotch eggs that I made!

Today I am grateful that we're all booked in for the last parents evening at school for Ellie. Stu will be at work so Becky is going to come along with us. She's heard so much about the teachers she can't wait to see them. hehehe

Today I am grateful that Ellie has decided on a dress for her prom!! It came as such a surprise as she's not one to wear a dress, the last time she did was years ago.

Today I am grateful that my dad got his printer working. He was going to come here to use ours but I couldn't get ours working either. lol Stu pressed one button when he got home and just like that it was sorted.

Today I am grateful for an evening in front of the TV with my family. Ant & Dec, Starstruck and then the musical thing I recorded off BBC.

Today I am grateful that the ice cream man is back doing his rounds. The kids saw him go past earlier on and went running. hehehe

Today I am grateful for railcards! Just ordered ours for the summer and am already excited about how much money we're going to save!

Today I am grateful for my pj's. After getting soaked this morning I was glad to get into them and have a cosy afternoon.

Today I am grateful that Ellie has some amazing teachers! We had her last ever parents evening and they all had fantastic things to say. I am so proud.

Today I am grateful that we have made some plans for the Easter holidays. We will be having some fun around Stu and Becky working and Ellie going to extra revision classes at school.

Today I am grateful that it's payday! I did think it was yesterday and had a little panic when the money hadn't gone into the bank.
