Our weekly meal plan! 3rd - 9th July. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went really well. We were supposed to be going out for a meal but the pub wasn't serving food on Friday night so we made do with a chip shop tea which wasn't a bad thing, it certainly was a lot cheaper. We still went to the pub though. hehehe Over the weekend we went to a nearby country show which I am blogging about later in the week, we had such a great time but as of writing this last night I was tired out, we walked for miles over the weekend.

I was going to say we don't have much on this week but it's Ellie's prom and I think that is enough excitement for one week!! Ellie can't wait and neither can I. We had a little dress rehearsal on Friday night with the hair and make up and worked out how long everything takes. (A long time, with Ellie faffing. hehehe).

I am feeling a bit bleurgh about cooking at the moment although I have had Ellie in the kitchen helping cooking our evening meals which is encouraging me to keep cooking from scratch. She learned how to make quiche last week, we used ready made pastry cases and she realised it's just like making scrambled eggs and adding whatever you want. The only thing I haven't convinced her to have a go at doing in the kitchen is chopping the onions. She hates the smell, the feel and the fact they make her eyes water.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Hot dogs in buns with fries. We want an easy meal after the excitement of the weekend.
Tuesday - Corned Beef hash & Baked beans. It's something we haven't had in a while and the weather is not looking too good.
Thursday - Something quick, probably out of the freezer. It's prom night, food will probably be the last thing on our mind until later on in the evening.
Friday - Pizza. Probably frozen, shop bought one's.
Saturday - Fake KFC. Fried chicken, fries, corn on the cob, onion rings, baked beans and coleslaw.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  1. Enjoy the prom!

It's great that Ellie is helping you with the cooking - a win for you having her help and a win for her when she leaves home :)
