Throughout October I will be joining in with Big Family Organised Chaos and her linky for Blogtober18. Today's prompt is: Movies you have watched a thousand times.
I have blogged a bit about my favourite movies in the past. I have my My Top 10 Favourite Movies EVER and my Sunday afternoon films which I actually wrote for #Blogtober16 so this time I am going to blog about the films I have been rewatching recently.
There will be no spoilers! hehehe
The Greatest Showman.
Inspired by the imagination of P. T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business & tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.
For months I didn't get the hype about The Greatest Showman. One Saturday night I noticed it was available to buy on Sky and thought I would give it a go. The story, the dancing and of course the songs. The next day I watched it with the kids, then I watched it with Stu and then I carried on watching it at least once a week. Hugh Jackman is one talented guy. Who cares about history & about the real story. I love this film for what it is.
Avengers: Infinity War:
Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet - the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.
I am not a fan of the superhero movies usually. I liked the first Iron Man film but not the rest and the Spiderman films from years ago, I half watched both Guardians of the Galaxy films, Oh and Thor. I do like him. hehehe
A few years ago I saw the end of one Avengers film and thought I like this. I'd never seen another until Infinity War. The first time I watched it I had Stu's head done in. Who's that, why's he doing that, who's she? Where's Thor eye gone and so on. I loved it and at the end I nearly cried. It was so sad. I have watched it about eight more times since and every time I still believe that things could end up differently. Hulk, Drax and Thor are my favourites.
The Harry Potter films.
When we visited Alnwick castle during the summer holidays it put me in the mood to watch all the Harry Potter films from the beginning. We watched them in the space of a few days and then it started being advertising on TV that they will be shown every Saturday so we have been watching them again. hehehe
They just don't get old. It is wonderful to see the characters grow up. I say every time "don't they look so young". The magic, story and just everything about Harry Potter is fantastic.
