My teen really surprises me sometimes. I don't know what it is but over the last few weeks she seems so much more grown up. Maybe it's because she is so close to finishing school. She is becoming more and more independent. It's just little things like clearing away after herself without being told, being more organised and ironing her clothes instead of asking me to! She's making me proud!

That's really good to hear! I wish my teenagers could be more like that! My eldest will make himself food, but he is the untidiest person I know and will never clear up after himself.
ReplyDeleteI wish my husband would do the ironing.
ReplyDeleteNow that must be nice. Mine go through stages and then relapse! I can imagine that the end of school must feel like a big deal. It is. Hope this week goes well for her and you all.
ReplyDeleteWow she is growing up X #mysundaysnapshot
ReplyDeleteYou have every reason to be proud - she's growing into a young lady for sure! #MMBC
ReplyDeleteThat's great Kim, I was the same as a teen, it made me more prepared for when I left home. #MMBC
ReplyDeleteIt is nice when they start becoming a bit more independent. But I do find it a little sad with my daughter a s it means she's not my baby any more lol.

Good skills to learn #mysundaysnapshot
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed she irons her own clothes. Whilst my 16 year old is good at tidying up, and has a clean and tidy room, I don't think I could trust him with an iron lol x
ReplyDeleteAw that's fab, it's scary how quick they grow, isn't it? x
ReplyDeleteThat is impressive. Well done xx #mysundaysnapshot
ReplyDeleteOooo careful ironing on the floor - my university halls of residence was covered in iron burns all over the carpets. Thanks for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
ReplyDeleteMy eldest daughter did her ironing on the floor while we were away one year, she left a lovely burn mark (she didn't even know where I kept the ironing board!) It's lovely to see them become more independent. My eldest daughter still expects me to do her washing, but she does work. I don't iron unless it's necessary. Boo is only 11 and is the most independent of all my children, she knows how to do everything from cooking to cleaning to washing...but I've not let her loose with the iron yet! x
