Our weekly meal plan! 4th - 10th September. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

What a week we had. Last weeks meal plan went to plan, it's not like it took much effort as we ate out 5 nights. lol We had a lovely meal out for Ellie's birthday at Wetherspoons, we went on a little holiday and had a meal at a pub in Newcastle where Stu and I used to go all of the time, then a meal at Frankie and Benny's which was good, beanies and chips from our favourite chip shop in Amble and then party food from the family wedding we were at. I feel like we need to go on a diet for the next few months after eating so much. As well as all of that we've had McDonalds, Burger King, lots of ham and pease pudding sandwiches, when we went to visit my friend she made us some to take to the cottage. hehehe I also bought more pease pudding to bring home with us as we can't get it here in North Lincolnshire.

We had a lovely break away and today will be spent doing the washing and worrying about Ellie. It's her first day at college, eek! She's so excited, it's always been her dream to do engineering and hopefully in a few years she will be a qualified electrician. We have the food shop coming today, hooray! We have hardly anything in the fridge as I was writing this so it will be good to get stocked up.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Tuna rice salad.
Tuesday - Chicken fajitas.
Wednesday - Meat free mince sloppy joes with potato salad.
Thursday - Jacket potatoes with either baked beans and cheese or tuna. We will decide what we fancy at the time.
Friday - Fish and chips with mushy peas.
Saturday - We're going out for another meal for Becky's birthday which is on Sunday but we have more options on the Saturday evening.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  1. It's good to hear that you had a good break. I had to look up pease pudding to see what it was!!
I hope that Ellie has a good first day at college, it's great that she already knows what she wants to do and I love that she's taking a subject that is generally more male dominated - go Ellie!

  2. I think going away is ALL about the food! I've seen pease pudding in Sainsbury's but I've not tried it, ever. We'll be having fajitas this week, and a roast dinner, but tonight I think I'll stick with pizza as it's quite warm and I don't want to be in the kitchen too long.

  3. Sounds like you had a lovely time and got to sample lots of great food. I think I might have to try making beanies as they sound like something Pierre would like :)
