I have seen many people on social media list something every day that they are grateful for and thought I would join in and have on my private Facebook account every day and I thought I would share here too. I am hoping to continue it for the rest of the year and longer.
In September I was grateful for:

Today I am grateful for a new month. I do like this time of year.

Today I am grateful for family and being able to visit them despite the buses being a big pain in the backside.

Today I am grateful for good Saturday night TV being back.

Today I am grateful that I double checked that Ellie was ready for school tomorrow. She needed her shirt ironed. I forgot all about that. Oops.

Today I am grateful that Ellie had a great first day back at school. She's gone into year 11, the last year of school and GCSE's are on the way.

Today I am grateful for a day almost home alone. Becky was in bed after a night shift so I had the house to myself.

Today I am grateful that Becky has 6 days off work! She put in some holidays for her birthday. It will be nice to spend some time with her.

Today I am grateful that I didn't have much to do today so I could spend the afternoon watching the news. It's a sad day and I can't get my head around the fact that we now have a king.

Today I am grateful that we got on the bus just as it started raining. We stayed on the bus for an extra few stops and went to see my dad. Partly because he's my dad and partly because we didn't want to get off the bus and get soaked. hehehe

Today I am grateful for a very lazy day. All that's been done is one load of washing with Ellie's school uniform which needed doing. lol

Today I am grateful that The Great British Bake Off is back on the TV. It's a proper Autumn show and a good excuse to eat cake with a cuppa.

Today I am grateful that I managed to get the living room changed around all by myself. I'm amazed I managed to move the sofa, it weighs a ton!

Today I am grateful that I managed to fix my dad's phone! God knows what happened with it but a Factory Reset sorted it,

Today I am grateful for omelette sandwiches! I wouldn't have thought of putting a mushroom omelette between two slices of bread until my dad made me one for lunch!

Today I am grateful for Paddington Bear. We watched When Paddington Met the Queen and then the Paddington film.

Today I am grateful that the grass in the back garden has been cut. It was starting to look like a bit of a jungle out there.

Today I am grateful that I got to watch a bit of history. I am not a fan of the Royal family but they did so well today. They must be exhausted.

Today I am grateful that today has seemed like a normal day after the last couple of weeks. Stu at work, Ellie at school and Becky out with her friends. I feel like we might get back into a proper routine now.

Today I am grateful for Stu's bonuses from work. The gift cards that he's getting are paying for Christmas.

Today I am grateful for the extra duvet which is going on the bed tonight. Stu and I have been waking up chilly on a morning so it's time.

Today I am grateful for getting another big chunk of the Christmas present buying done. I've realised that Ellie is by far the hardest person to buy for!!

Today I am grateful for no substitutions with my food shop delivery! That hasn't happened for ages, I always get one or two.

What a great gratitude list. I am grateful I am not one of the idiot drivers on the road today. Only went to pick C up from college they are all out today

ReplyDeleteLovely and interesting gratitude list for September. Like you I was grateful for a quieter day to sit and watch all the news and funeral etc. It is hard to get our heads round the fact we have a king now. I think in September, I was grateful for a couple of last warm, sunny days xxx
