Our weekly meal plan! 10th - 16th October. #MealPlanningMonday

Our weekly meal plan

Last weeks meal plan went well. We swapped a couple of meals around but ate everything else. On Tuesday I was so cold and decided that moving about was the way to warm up so I went into the kitchen and made the carrot & coriander soup. By the time I had sat back down I had forgotten about being cold. I also somehow managed to make more than usual so there was a few portions to freeze which will come in for lunches when it's even colder.

We didn't end up going out on Saturday, the buses around us are not reliable at the moment with the strikes and we really didn't want to get stuck somewhere in Hull. My dad would not be amused getting a phone call from me asking for a lift home. He hates having to pay to cross the Humber Bridge. lol I got a food shop from Iceland so we had a Chinese fakeaway with sweet and sour chicken balls, egg fried rice, salt and pepper chips, chow mein, spring rolls and prawn crackers.

I am loving that Iceland are slowly getting their Christmas things in. I bought some pigs in blankets which will hopefully last until Christmas and I got Ellie a Christmas present from their homeware department. I had seen a similar item in B&M for £20 but this one was only £16.99. I know it's not much difference but that's a few pound I can spend on something else.

On the menu this week we have:

Monday - Heinz Beanz Filled Hash Browns which I have been really looking forward to trying, sausages, and fried eggs.
Tuesday - Sweet and sour meatballs and rice.
Wednesday - Chicken dippers, chips and spaghetti hoops.
Friday - Pizza.
Saturday - Burgers in buns and fries.
Sunday - A roast dinner of some sort.

What are you eating this week?

  1. I knew you’d inspire me. So far I know we will have chicken dippers with rice in a sweet and sour sauce. Now to think about the rest of the week

  2. I'm loving seeing all of the Christmas goodies slowly creeping in on the shop shelves! It makes me happy.
Love your meal plan. The leek, bacon & potato soup sounds really nice, I'm all for the warming dinners lately.
Chicken dippers are a massive hit in our house. I always stock up on them. xx
