My Autumn bucket list for 2022.

I am taking part in Blogtober 2022 and will be writing posts with various themes/prompts throughout October. Today's prompt is: Autumn bucket list.

Autumn is well and truly here. There is such a chill in the air now especially first thing on a morning. I like it! I think this is my favourite time of year as long as it's not too cold and wet. It is tempting some days just to stay under a blanket sometimes but I want to make some memories and have some fun. I have came up with a few ideas of things which I want to do before the really cold weather and winter arrives.

Autumn leaves

Buy some more autumn scented candles. I have a few but always need more. I really need to get a new gingerbread one.

Make my own pumpkin spice latte. I have a recipe for it coming later in the month.

Feed the birds. We still of course have our bird feeder and I need to remember to keep filling it up.

Take lots of photos of the changing season.

Go for a walk in the woods through all of the leaves.

Get some new boots.

Sort the garden out. The flowerbeds really need tidying up and I want to put my little greenhouse away so it doesn't get ruined over the winter.

Drink lots of hot chocolate.

Go to the cinema during October half term with the kids.

Toast marshmallows on an open fire. Now that we have a fire pit it should be easy.

Make Halloween cupcakes and/or biscuits.

Carve a pumpkin.

Go to a Fireworks Display. There is one locally, I will just hope for dry weather.

Collect some conkers to keep the spiders away. I know it's just an old wives tale but it makes me feel better.

Find some new soup recipes and make them. My speciality soup is Carrot & Coriander but I am fancying something a bit different.

Get some new jumpers. Some of my old one's that I've had for years are practically falling apart.

Finish the Christmas present buying. I have already made a good start.

Do you have any fun plans for Autumn?

  3. I'm with you on the hot chocolate and new boots. I don't need any new jumpers, I've got a lot of big cardigans which I use to layer up when cold. I do need to get a move on with my Christmas shopping, I've only one present so far! xx

  4. I love your list for fall. It includes lots of fun activities and memory makers. I don't really see colorful leaves where I live but I have lots of memories of fall with my family up north. My plans are to relax and enjoy the days ahead with less humidity and lower temps. That is heaven. #MMBC

  7. Just this morning I bookmarked a new soup recipe that I want to try this month; it's a tortellini primavera soup that sounded just perfect for fall. This is a fabulous list!

  9. I should have read your list before writing my own because you've reminded me that I need new cardigans (I'm not a fan of jumpers) and also, new pjs!
Totally with you on the Christmas present buying. I like to be very organised, very early! xx

  12. We had cinema passes all summer, they were £15 a month for Cineworld. but we cancelled them when the weather got colder and we dont go out so much. But they are worth it if you would use it alot through half term. We used to go once a week and watch 2 or three films.
