Halloween events in Lincolnshire.

Halloween will be here soon and there is lots going on up and down the country but I have decided to focus on things going on in and around Lincolnshire. 

Pumpkin Picking can be a cheap, fun day out. There are plenty of photo opportunities and it's always good to get some fresh air.

Pumpkins

Hall Farm Park - Caistor Rd, South Kelsey, Market Rasen LN7 6PR

Visit this October half term for lots of Halloween fun on the farm! Choose your own pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and play Halloween games. Help Winnie the witch find her missing spell ingredients on the spooky woodland walk! There is also all of their usual activities on offer including a ride on their decorated trailer and yummy seasonal delights in the tearoom.

Pink Pig Farm - Holme Hall, Holme Lane, Scunthorpe DN16 3RE

During October term Pink Pig Farm are having their Pumpkin festival.Take your wheelbarrow to the pumpkin patch (with lots of great photo ops), choose your own pumpkin then return to the carving barn to create your masterpiece. Windle the witch will be on hand to teach you how to make potions and there will be spooky food and cakes in the Greedy Pig cafe and playbarn cafe. The Pumpkin patch runs from 11am to 3pm.

Uncle Henry's - Grayingham Grange Farm, Gainsborough DN21 4JD

Uncle Henry's home of the famous Maize Maze will be running their pumpkin picking throughout October half term. Pick the perfect pumpkin from their pumpkin patch then make your way back the garden to the carving station where they will have all the tools you need to get your pumpkins Halloween ready! £5 per ticket and the ticket admits 2 people to the pumpkin patch to pick 1 pumpkin. 

The 5 acre Maize Maze has had a Halloween make over for Ocotber Half Term. A motley crew of monsters have found their way into the maze. Have you got what it takes to find them all and get back out of the maze without them getting you? The Maze is open every day during half term and is suitable for all ages.

Doddington Hall - Main St, Doddington, Lincoln LN6 4RU

Take your pick of the Doddington Hall Pumpkin Patch this October and take your pumpkin home to carve up a creepy scene for your doorstep or pick up delicious seasonal recipe ideas from the Farm Shop. 

Patch open 1st - 31st October, daily 10am-4pm (while stocks last). Free entry, pay for what you pick (cash only). Prices start from £2 dependent on size.

Lincolnshire Wildlife Park – Halloween at the park - Dickon Hill Rd, Friskney, Boston PE22 8PF

Are you ready for Tricks & Treats? Choose your path to find the clues but be careful along the way as there may be some spooky surprises! Available from Saturday 22nd October – Monday 31st October and just a £1 donation to the charity to join in. Face Painting is available from 10am – 4pm on Sat 22nd, Sun 23rd, Sat 29th & Sun 30th only. All our usual activities will be available, including feed for the birds and Meerkats and daily animal talks from our keepers. The Rainforest Diner will be serving hot & cold food & drinks, parking is free and we have disabled access throughout.

Normanby Hall - Spooktacular Day - Normanby Rd, Normanby, Scunthorpe DN15 9HU

Calling all witches, wizards, ghosts and ghoulies! Prepare for some seriously spooky goings on at Normanby Hall Country Park, with the long-awaited return of our seriously scary Spooktacular event. For one day only, Normanby Hall will transform itself into the creepy capital of North Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire Wolds Railway – Halloween Spooktacular - Station Road, Ludborough, Lincolnshire, DN36 5SQ

Love Halloween. Board the scariest train ride of the year. Hear the church bells of Ludborough ring out as the Demonic Monk walks among us, Do you dare brave the Spirits of Ludborough?  Board the train and conquer your fears !!

First train departs 1.45pm, hourly, with last train departing 4.45pm. 

Springfields Adventureland - Halloween fun - Springfields Outlet Shopping & Leisure, Camel Gate, Spalding, Lincoln PE12 6EU

Visit Adventure Land this Halloween for some extra spooky activities! Spooky Bingo, Halloween Twister, Scavenger Hunt with a top prize of Annual Family Membership! Best Fancy Dress Competition with prizes to be won and a spooky gift bag for all paying children that pre-book entry online.

North Lincolnshire Museum - Oswald Rd, Scunthorpe DN15 7BD

Monday 24th to Friday 28th October - Dudley Discovers – Vampires and Villains take over the Museum this Halloween. Dress up and take part in many activities including bat making, creepy gruesome feely bags and make a play dough Viking Villain. Suitable for under-fives. Activities are free.10.30 – 3.30pm

Friday 28th October - Halloween: Vampires and Villains Night Wander through the dark galleries, take part in Vampire craft activities and follow our Vampire and Villains trail. Handle creepy real life creatures, if you dare (£1 per child) Supported by the Scunthorpe Little Theatre Club. 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

  2. I love that some of these places have free or really cheap activities to do, it really helps large families out. I too like the idea of the train journey. Where I am we are a bit short on Halloween experiences for the kids. Happy Halloween from my family
